Sigma Alpha Iota Chorale
Daughters of a great and singing nation,
Let your voices rise in dedication,
Music tells unspoken noble creeds;
Music beautifies the simplest deeds;
Sing we now to Sigma Alpha Iota.
Sing the greatness of the soul and spirit,
Sing the joy of peace and friendship's merit,
Music is a kind and truthful speech;
In a language out of mere word's reach,
Sing we now to Sigma Alpha Iota.

Sigma Alpha Iota Symbolism
Our badge of membership has seven gold Pipes of Pan encircled
by a band set with pearls bearing the Greek letters "Sigma,"
"Alpha," "Iota" on black enamel.
Sigma Alpha Iota uses the soft "i"
for the last word in its name in order to produce a more
musical and euphonious name. Its colors are crimson and
white, and its flower is the red rose. SAI's motto is Vita
Brevis, Ars Longa, which is Latin for Life is short, but
Art is long. |
